What is a verb for when you use carpets for a place?

I would use wool carpets for my room.

I feel like it's not natural to use "use" here. What's a better way of expressing this idea?

What can verb I use instead of "carpet"?

I would carpet my room with wool carpets.
 
I would lay a wool carpet in my room.

I would have wool carpets laid/fitted in my rooms.
