Hi everyone.Today I listened to a MP3 File. I think I heard something like this sentence :"let's go hit the beach" and "let's go hit the bar". Please explain these sentences to me. And now what is difference between these sentences : a. I hit him.b. let's go hit the beach. It's better to give me some examples like these sentences. Particular "b". ----------------- I hope that Rover_KE does not warn me for Title of this thread ! If there are mistakes in writing, please show me them, too.Thank you.

I am not a teacher.

'Hit', in 'hit the beach/bar' is informal, and simply means to go there.

'I hit him' = 'I struck him', and uses the literal meaning of 'to hit'.
