hello all
I want to say that compared to religiousness, spirituality is a stronger predictor of well-being. is this sentence correct:

"Spirituality is a stronger predictor of well-being than religiousness"

(note that I do not want to say spirituality is a predictor of religiousness and well-being, instead I want to say spirituality and religiousness are predictors of well-being, and spirituality is a better one).

Can I say: "Spirituality is a stronger predictor of well-being than religiousness is."

Thank you very much in advance,

Re: Is my sentence understandable?

"Spirituality is a stronger predictor of well-being than religiousness (is)."

Go for this! ;-) The operator 'is' is optional at the end of the sentence. Better without it. Why? I do not know yet.

You can say this, but if you want to get across the full meaning that you appear to desire, you could say, 'Even though both spirituality and religiousness are both predictors of well-being, spirituality is a stonger one.'

Can I say: "Spirituality is a stronger predictor of well-being than religiousness is."The sentence is fine. To my ear religiosity is better than religiousness. Both are correct; it's just a matter of personal preference.

Mohsenn, you asked this question about half an hour before you posted it again here. Please do not repeat questions. If you wait patiently, your question will normally be answered

I have merged the two threads.
