I want to make sure your paperwork is in order as soon as possible.
----
Does "as soon as possible" refer to "make sure" or "your paperwork is in order"? I mean,

a. I want to make sure ... as soon as possible.
b. ... your paperwork is in order as soon as possible.

Which one makes more sense?

[Edit: Fixed the spelling - changed the incorrect "peper work" to the correct "paperwork". Thanks, emsr2d2.]

[Edit on 3/2: I didn't do it well. Sorry for the typos. Changed the incorrect "peperwork" to the correct "paperwork". Thanks, Skrej.]

Before we continue, please edit your post to change each instance of the incorrect "peper work" to the correct "paperwork". The correct spelling is right there in the text so I have no idea how you managed to get it wrong four times!

You didn't. You only changed 'peper work' to the marginally less incorrect 'peperwork'.

"I want to make sure ... as soon as possible."

I want to do it as soon as I get a chance to.

Option b. The act of making sure (if you want to call it that) has already started by virtue of the phone call. IAll that remains is to complete the paperwork (as soon as possible).

If you don't mind, I'd say you meant just "All" (without "I" befort it). :)

The act of making sure (if you want to call it that) has already started by virtue of the phone call.
But that is actually just a telephone message, so Jackie Gross won't know how it goes until the person calls back. For this reason, I think that option a. makes more sense. :)
