[Grammar] It's the first time I have come here

2. It's the first time I'm playing cricket or I have played cricket or I play cricket (what is the correct to way when I'm about to play cricket, holding the bat)

In BrE, we use the present perfect after "It's the first time".

It's the first time I have been here. (Note that "that I have come here" is unnatural.)
It's the first time I have played cricket.

It's a dubious proposition as there are many variants of English and many different forms and usages. Reducing it to some 19th century version of the dominant form won't reflect the complexity of the language in use today, so don't expect single answers to all questions. I know my curent British English and would use the present perfect, but I could not say that this s true of all speakers of all variants. There are many experts here, but they generally only speak for their area. Few questions are 100% universal, and most of those are rarely asked. We get 1,000 times more questions about whether to use in/on the street than we do about whether to say I am/is. There's a lot more agreement about the second question, but there is more to be learnt from listening to speakers of every variant possible talk about the first. :up:
