If you drink Turkish or Greek coffee, they put the grounded beans in your cup and pour water on it. It's not nescafé, the coffee remains in the cup [drink carefully].
Is there a special name for this coffee that remains?
Thanks

I'd say "coffee grounds".
People read coffee grounds and tea leaves to tell your fortune.

 - Dregs is a more general term. I've heard it used of coffee, tea, wine.... Coffee grounds is fine too, but just for coffee.

Those too, but they are not used in general speech for this purpose.

Thanks for the multiple replies. I will stick with 'coffee grounds' for my article.
