It was still a ______ day as expected and nothing special happened.

A, normal B. usual

I cannot figure out the difference between the two in this case. The answer given is "usual". Can answer A also fit?

Thanks!

Jason

Of the two I would choose A. Where did you find this?

So you think this sentence is not naturally made, is it?

What will a native put instead if it is not natural?

It's OK with 'normal'.

I'd also say 'normal' but I don't think 'usual' is wrong.
