[Grammar] Provide details about yourself vs provide details of yourself

Both phrases can be found in google with thousands of results. I still don't understand the difference between those two.

Which phrase is correct? Or both can be used, just depends on a sentence?
 
They can both be used. The first is more common.
 
In AmE, "of" would be rare if used at all.
