Hello!

Is it correct to use the verb to see in the present progressive in the following sentence: I’m seeing her right now, pulling a cart filled with packages, shopping bags, wires and empty plastic bottles'?

Thank you!

No. For verbs of the senses, see, hear, smell, taste, feel, we normally use the modal 'can' for situations going on at the moment of speaking.

I can see her right now, pulling a cart filled with packages, shopping bags, wires and empty plastic bottles.

That's not the same thing. In your example, the present continuous has been used to indicate the future.

Thank you all very much!

raluca, welcome to Using English.

You might want to know that "I'm seeing her" is a casual way to say "I am dating her" or "We are a couple."

Are you seeing anyone right now? = Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Yes, you are right. But the question is the verb see can be used in the present continuous? The answer is yes. to refer to the future.
see = meet

Yes, but the question was specifically about the sentence given in post #1 where it was used in the present (right now):

The question was

The answer is 'NO'.

Yes, that is right.

That has nothing to do with BarbD's post which you quoted. She was pointing out that "I'm seeing her" means "I'm dating her" (we are romantically involved).
Your example only shows that "I'm seeing her tonight" can mean "I am meeting her tonight".

I'm not sure why you quoted BarbD's post as if it were connected to yours.
