Are you seeing anyone right now? = Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

That has nothing to do with BarbD's post which you quoted. She was pointing out that "I'm seeing her" means "I'm dating her" (we are romantically involved).
Your example only shows that "I'm seeing her tonight" can mean "I am meeting her tonight".

I'm not sure why you quoted BarbD's post as if it were connected to yours.
