In season 3 episode 8 of Sneaky Pete Vignett tells Marius the following:

I've been working for Kilbane for a year and a half, but my full payment only comes in when I catch Sy Rubinek. As we found out last night, Sy Rubinek is one clever son of a bitch. You're not the only clever person. Eventually someone notices that Clark Kent and Superman are never together in the same room. So, since I can't catch Sy Rubinek because you're Sy Rubinek, I'm gonna have to have you take Kilbane for the whole $4 million.

So my question is what does the phrase in bold mean?

I don't understand a sentence by looking at one part of it, and neither should you. However, I understand it to mean he's going to try to get four million dollars from Kilbane. Is that what you think?

Sometimes I might want to ask the last question first, that is:

What do you think?

Note that I have changed your thread title. Titles should include some/all of the words/phrases you are asking us about.
