Hello,

-There occoured a revival of the old and clasical literauture of Greece and Rome and this was manifested in the poetry of the age.

-There became the different opinions between the students and the teachers.

My question is that can we use 'there' in this sentences at the beginnings of the sentences?

Thanks.

Yes you can, but it's not necessary.

But you would also need to change other works to create a better flow of content.

This is not. Opininions cannot 'become;. It would work with 'arose'.
