In my opinion, "to make sure your baby’s food is just right to grow on" means "to make sure your baby’s food is just right on which for your baby to grow" or "to make sure your baby’s food is just right to help your baby to grow" or "to make sure your baby’s food is just right to draw on".

I do not think "to grown on" is a phrasal verb in this case, but I may be wrong.

Please tell me whether I am wrong or right.

In your original, as was said, it means "to grow a healthy body" -- adequate nutrition. In the idiomatic uses, there were definitions given.
