When you say "tv show", does it include every kind of soap opera(drama), music shows, news, cooking shows that can appear on tv or just dramas? Soap opera definitely means dramas, but tv show sounds vague to me.

A TV show is anything which is "shown" on "TV".

Why does it seem to mean dramas more than anything else? Maybe I'm mistaken.

You are mistaken. A "TV show" can be anything from a drama to a sitcom to a talk show or game show. There are endless varieties.

A soap opera is a TV show. However, a TV show may or may not be a soap opera.

Basically, anything kind of program on the TV is a TV show. Usually, movies that have been played in theaters are not considered TV shows, and I normally refer to the hourly newscasts or weather presentations as such. But, if necessary, they can all be referred to as TV shows.
