What do you call (verb+connector) in English?

Ex:
Divide into
1/The coach divided us into two groups.

Accuse of

2/Some spectators of final match accused of turbulence.

NOT A TEACHER

The connector you're talking about is a preposition. I don't know if there is a name for the combination of verb + preposition. In the case of "divded", as used in sentence #1, a dictionary would say, 'divide something into something' ( divide - Definition from Longman English Dictionary Online ).

Your second sentence makes no sense. The omission of words suggests that it might be a news headline but we don't accuse people of "turbulence".
