Hello,

~The audience oohed and aahed at the magician's tricks.

Could you explain these verbs? Actually, I'd like to ask what's the difference between verb ooh and verb aah?

Welcome to the forum, Lemon~Tree.

The audience were making the sounds 'ooh' (with lips pushed forwards) and 'aah' (with mouths wide open) to express their appreciation of and wonderment at the illusionist's performance. (Click here.)

The phrase "to ooh and ahh" is frequently used in the UK to describe what people do (the sounds they make) while watching a firework display.

Lemontree, these are not real verbs; these are exclamations turned into verbs.
