This is a sentence in a newspaper:
Reading some of the news out of Mongolia lately it would be easy to conclude that the country is on the verge of becoming yet another failed post-socialist experiment in democracy.
1) Can I use "will" instead of "would" in above sentence?
Could you tell me the reason for "would" to be used in the sentence?
2) What does "yet" mean in this sentence?
Is it mean "still possible in the future"?
Thanks.
