Hi,

If you have seen Sin City, Hartigan says "An old man dies, a young woman lives. Fair trade.".

Can I use this expression in real life, when I want to say "fair enough"? Not sure if it's clear to people but I couldn't find its usage online other than Sin City.

For example:

You: You know those things have insane calories.
Her: It's ok, I will just run an hour longer on the weekend.
You: Fair trade.

Does it make sense?

Thanks all.

Welcome to the forum, lachdanan.

'Fair trade' would work in your dialogue, in my opinion.

I agree with 5jj, but "fair enough" and fair trade" usually have different meanings.

Thanks alot guys :)

I thought they might think I am talking about fair trade between countries but the way Willis says it, I find it pretty cool to use. Never used yet though.

Thanks @5jj :)
