1. The meat is cooked the way you like it.

First, I wonder it is grammatical if you omit it from the sentence 1.

2. The meat is cooked how you like it.

Second, I want to know sentence 2 is grammatical and same in meaning with sentence 2.

2. The meat is cooked how you like it.

Second, I want to know if sentence 2 is grammatical and the same in meaning as sentence 1. Yes.
