Hey friends,
My "native language problem" strikes back :-(
Q: Who has birthday?
A: I don't know who has birthday.
Is this the perfect position for has?My native German ear tells me to put has at the end of the sentence, but I believe it's wrong.
But birthday is a noun, which confuses me.
Q: Who is cool?
A: I don't know who is cool. (cool = adjective)
Q: Who is swimming?
A: I don't know who is swimming. (swimming = verb)
Q: Who is that guy?
A: I don't know who that guy is. (that guy = noun(?))
So should I really say:
A: I don't know who has birthday.
Or:
A: I don't know who birthday has. (although that sounds a bit strange.)
Sorry guys, it has just come back. :-(
Cheers!
