A couple of members of the forum have complained recently over my asking them not to give answers to questions posted in the Ask a Teacher section of the forum.
On a number of occasions I have sent a message to people asking them not to do this when they were giving out answers that were simply wrong and/or incomprehensible. While this may be demotivating for the people concerned, who are generally answering and enthusiastic, it is not in the interests of the forum for people to be getting wrong answers, by which I mean answers that are factually incorrect and not a matter of opinion. Where this happens, I will continue to ask people not to answer as I feel that not doing so would be damaging to the forum in general.
